Effective date: November 6, 2027
Delco Dads ("Delco Dads," "we," "us" or "our") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving fathers and families in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through delcodads.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. We collect the information you choose to share when you:
- Make a donation (name, email address, mailing address, donation amount and any dedication or note)
- Sign up to join or volunteer (name, email, phone, town and the interests you select)
- Submit our Support a Family form (your name and email, and the information you share about the family or individual in need)
- Order Delco Dads swag (item, size, name, email, phone number, mailing address and the name on your Venmo or PayPal payment)
- Contact us or send a sponsorship inquiry (name, business name, email, phone and your message)
- Sign up for our email newsletter (email address)
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site may automatically collect basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and the website that referred you. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies and is used in aggregate to understand how the Site is used.
2. Donations, tickets and payments
- Online donations on the Site are processed through GiveWP and a third-party payment processor. Your full card or bank details are entered with and handled by the payment processor; Delco Dads does not store full payment card numbers.
- Gala tickets, sponsorships and gala donations are processed on Givebutter (givebutter.com). Information you provide there is collected by Givebutter and governed by Givebutter’s privacy policy.
- Swag donations made through Venmo or PayPal are processed by those services and governed by their privacy policies. We only receive the information those services share with us about your payment (such as your name and the amount).
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process donations and send receipts and acknowledgments
- Fulfill and ship swag orders and match them to your donation
- Respond to your messages, questions and sponsorship inquiries
- Add you to our community, coordinate volunteers and share event information
- Review Support a Family submissions and coordinate help
- Send our email newsletter and event updates, if you sign up
- Recognize sponsors and supporters (see Section 5)
- Maintain, secure and improve the Site
- Comply with legal and tax obligations
4. Information about families you tell us about
When you submit information through our Support a Family form, you may share details about another person or family. We treat this information with care. We use it only to review the request and coordinate support. We share it only with the Delco Dads leaders and volunteers who need it to help, unless the family gives permission otherwise. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing and, when possible, with the family’s knowledge.
5. How we share information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
We may share information only:
- With service providers who help us run the Site and our programs — such as our website host, payment processors, form and email tools — and only as needed for them to provide those services
- For donor and sponsor recognition. We may thank donors, sponsors and ticket buyers by name in event materials, on the Site or on social media. If you would like to remain anonymous, tell us when you give or email info@delcodads.com.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Delco Dads, our members or others
- With your consent or at your direction
6. Cookies and analytics
The Site uses cookies needed for it to work properly, such as cookies that remember form progress. We may also use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the Site. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent; some parts of the Site may not work properly without them.
7. Email communications
If you sign up for our newsletter or give us your email address, we may send you updates about events and ways to help. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. We may still send transactional messages, such as donation receipts and order confirmations.
8. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Information about a child may be shared with us by a parent, guardian or other adult — for example, through the Support a Family form — and we handle it as described in Section 4. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including secure (SSL) connections on the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, donation records as required for tax and accounting purposes — and then delete or anonymize it.
11. Your choices
You may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you
- Correct or update your information
- Delete your information, unless we are required to keep it (for example, donation records)
- Stop sending you email updates
To make a request, email info@delcodads.com.
12. Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites, including Givebutter, Facebook, Venmo and PayPal. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
